2017 Editor-in-Chief and her successor are finalists for national awards

The College Media Association has announced finalists for its Pinnacle Awards, which “honor the best college media organizations and individual work.”  The Beacon is a finalist for five of these national awards:

• Best Social Media Presence – Erin Bothwell, 2017-18 Engagement Editor
• Best Editorial – 2017-18 Editor-in-Chief Rachel Rippetoe
• Best General News Story – Rachel Rippetoe
• Best Feature Story – 2018-19 Editor-in-Chief Hannah Sievert
• Best Sports News Photo – Annika Gordon
